The "Matchbox Bluesmaster Series"
What with every record being very obviously part of an overall series, I only really need to mention what each catalogue sequence presented, rather than list all records here.
"X" in a catalogue number denotes something out of the ordinary in terms of Saydisc releases. Other examples are an LP with a book, a one-off double LP, a double-length LP and a Dave Peabody LP for which I can find no reason whatsoever (and neither Dave nor Gef can remember why).

- MSE 200 series - this provides artists' complete recordings in chronological order
- MSE 1000 series - this provides "remaining titles", where the bulk of artists' recordings are available on other labels, along with recordings that are 'mostly new to LP'
- MSEX 2000 series - these two 2-LP sets were described as "Special sets"
In 2020 the whole series was digitised by Norman White at Nimbus to be made available between January 2021 and spring 2022 in seven 6-CD sets. Information on these is below.
- MSESET Matchbox Bluesmaster Series - each set is themed as best as possible and each CD in the 6-CD sets represents one LP from the original sequences.
- MSES700 Bluesmaster Nuggets series - these are promotional CDs with suggested tracks for airplay, etc. Most 'copies' are digital only, with only a very small number of physical copies being pressed. Note that there is no MSES702 because MSES701 covered both MSESET1 and MSESET2, which were released the same day.
A further series of 6-CD sets is in the planning pipeline for 2022/2023 release, these to be reissues of the original Matchbox label blues releases, plus other items from the Saydisc and Village Thing catalogues. Whether these will be branded as Matchbox Bluesmaster releases is as yet unknown.
